About MechanicHQ

Show the customer the leaking hose on video and watch approval rates double.

What we do

Digital vehicle inspections with evidence. The technician performs a structured inspection on a tablet, photographs and records short videos of every finding, and the system produces a customer-facing report colour-coded by urgency, with each recommendation showing the actual photograph or video of the problem alongside a plain explanation and a price. The customer receives it by text, watches it, and approves line by line on their phone. Deferred work is tracked and resurfaced at the next visit automatically, which is where a large share of the revenue comes from.

Who we built it for

Independent auto repair shops with 2 to 15 bays, plus tyre and quick-service chains. The buyer is the owner or service manager watching customers decline recommended work.

The problem

A service advisor tells a customer over the phone that they need 1,400 dollars of work, and the customer hears an upsell because they cannot see anything.

Approval rates on recommended work sit near a third, the shop loses revenue on work the vehicle genuinely needs, and the customer drives away with a real safety problem and a suspicion they were being fleeced.

The one promise

The free tool on this site is genuinely free and genuinely useful. It does not withhold the answer behind an email form, it does not degrade after a trial, and it does not exist to harvest your data. If it helps you and you never pay us, that is a fine outcome.

How much is your drop-off costing you a year?

Put in your monthly shoppers, conversion rate, order value and ad spend. See what you lose each year against the category median. Runs in your browser. No account, no card, no call.
